Moved.

I decided last Thursday or so that I was sick of being in endless transition, and started living out of the house I'll be renting for the next year-plus. So far, it's gone well. One housemate has moved in, and he's the kind of person who has a pet sourdough starter and randomly makes veggie pizza, so we're getting along well. The rest of my belongings can catch up to me whenever.

Tomorrow, the crew of the old house is having their last communal dinner. Somehow, in spite of not living there, I've ended up responsible for the food. There will be tempura.

P ≠ NP proven?

Vinay Deolalikar of HP Labs, who's done previous work in the area, has published a proof that P ≠ NP. It will take a few days for other mathematicians to check his work for mistakes. I wish I knew enough math to understand the proof myself.
