Today, the heater is producing cold air.

Landlady is calling around for a repairman, but there's a decent chance that none will be available until Monday. In the mean time, I've decided to bake in order to heat the downstairs a little, and am glad of my electric blanket.

Shabbat starts at 16:02. Maybe I'll try to stay late in the synagogue library; it's likely to be warmer there.
