The downstairs is warming up. It's glorious.

The furnace in the basement needed a simple replacement part, for which the repairman had to drive to Wilmington. (Go figure.)

There are a lot of companies discovering that they can make more money selling replacement systems rather than spare parts, hence rather fewer outlets selling spares.

Truth. Our furnace is from one of the major American brands, but there's only one source of replacement parts serving (at least) half the state - and it's the half with the greater population, at that.
