I'm trying out this little thing, and find that I'm much more comfortable with it now that I know how to bring up a BASH shell. I'm not quite rigidly constrained to the unfamiliar UI any more, and that makes all the difference.

Are the Kindle Fires reasonably hackable to run typical Android? :3 (And it's sort of awesome that you can bring up a BASH shell on a Kindle~)

I haven't tried getting plain Android on mine yet. Only had it for a few days now. The terminal app is called BTEP; cost $4 and was worth it.
