Hell if I know. But it really brings home that of all the people in my social circle, I know precisely three who've had both the opportunity and the ability to demonstrate that I can rely on them. (And I'm married to one of them.)

My irrational expectation that people will turn out to suck exists to be disproven, damnit. :/
